Kind of a stupid idea if you ask me. So in the early 2020's, Genesis decides to tour once more
even though Phil Collins can barely walk. For what most say, the show was pretty darn good though. So good for them. Well, somebody,
somewhere, decided to release this set of songs as a "companion piece" to the tour. What we have here is a pretty fair representation
of the songs that were played.
I'm not sure this has ever done before. Nor am I really sure it should be. Had this been a live release from the actual tour, well
that would have been quite different, but one wonders why they would bother with a song-by-song release of the original songs? We must
then remember that Genesis's style changed quite radically over the years, so anytime a compilation of this band's music is release, it simply
must be in consecutive order. Otherwise, as this release shows, it sounds too disjointed
Sure, the songs are all good, but it seems like quite the waste of everyone's time
