I'm always skeptical when an artist
releases and re-releases and re-re-releases "best of" packages. This
one gets it right, though, in a very big way. This is the perfect
compilation of three discs worth of the entire Bob Dylan collection.
Most of the hits are here, and, fortunately, he includes a lot of strong
material from his latter days which was critically acclaimed, even
though he never sold that well, nor was his material as well known.
Although there may be one or two songs missing from your personal
favorites, there's simply not a bad song on here - even during the above
mentioned lesser known periods. It's chronological, too, which is how it
should be with an artist like Bob Dylan. Someone finally got it right.
