Bob Dylan 1965-1966: The Cutting Edge
The Bootleg Series Volume 12 (2015)

111 songs. Ain't no way I'm gonna list them here.

So now it looks like a new trend is emerging with Bob Dylan's ubiquitous "bootleg series" recordings. Rather than compiling a double disc filled with demos, alternate takes, and live versions of songs from the time period, it seems like we're now getting just about everything that was left in the can. Good if you're a completeist I guess, but I really can't imagine anyone sitting down and listing to all 111 songs in said style. To be truthful, I can't even imagine anyone sitting through a double disc set either. For me, these recordings are nice to listen to maybe once, but after that I choose to stick to the originals

I'd be lying if I said I even bothered to listen to this whole thing. I listened to enough to gauge that the material is first rate. It encompasses his brillian days of the mid-sixties when he first went electric and the masses welcomed the change. These songs are mostly from the albums Bringing it all Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde on Blonde.

A kewpie doll for anyone who actually would listen to this thing front to back regardless of the fact that material is first-rate.
