I’ve never seen an Iron Man movie. I don’t even know what, exactly, an Iron Man is. I don’t know how many movies were made (at least 2, apparently), nor do I know how these songs were used in the movie. What I do know is that all of this information is irrelevant. What matters is that this is a top-notch selection of AC/DC songs to include on one release.

Oddly, this band has never had a greatest hits compilation. Now, to be fair, they never had that many “hits”, but a lack of such achievement doesn’t prevent record labels from cashing in on such retrospective packages. You couldn’t quite call this a greatest hits record as there are some obvious omissions. Still, though, this is a mighty fine representation that span the band’s entire career (there are tracks from 1976 all the way through 2008). The disc is split about half and half between the Bon Scott era and the Brian Johnson era.

The one track on here that doesn’t quite live up to expectations is the track Cold Hearted Man. This song was never released (in the U.S.) commercially until 2009’s Backtracks box set. It’s not really that bad of a song, but it doesn’t measure up to anything else here, and there was an obvious reason why it stayed unreleased for as long as it did.

A good way to introduce someone to the band.
